CorteX is XIO’s RESTful web-based management service that is built in to all ISE storage systems as well as being integrated with XIO’s storage resource management platforms: ISE Manager and ISE Analyzer.  CorteX enables simple commands and interfacing for the discovery, monitoring, and configuration of all ISE storage resources.   CorteX is designed such that the ISE systems can be easily controlled via custom scripting or the storage management functionality inside operating systems, hypervisors, databases, and other applications.

• RESTful management reduces complexity – based on a resource-oriented architecture and utilizing a RESTful Web Services implementation, the CorteX interface reduces the typical set of storage management commands for ISE resources from hundreds to six HTTP methods operating against simple but well-defined URI-style resource pages. 
• Simplifies storage management access – based on CorteX, any ISE storage resource can be accessed by any web management interface that supports the HTTP methods: GET, POST, HEAD, PUT, DELETE, OPTIONS.  This provides the needed hooks for enterprise storage administrator to integrate ISE storage management capabilities directly into their established enterprise system and storage management infrastructure.
• Increases management scalability – based on its proven RESTful web services and HTTP protocols, CorteX-based storage management scales to the level of the internet. Moreover, ISE systems are designed to collectively propagate comprehensive status information & alerts to ISE Analyzer without the need for polling, enabling ISE Analyzer to monitor hundreds of ISE Systems in a flexible management structure that can fully integrate with the enterprise’s system management infrastructure.
• Powers ISE Manager and ISE Analyzer – XIO’s ISE storage resource management platforms, ISE Manager and ISE Analyzer fully implement CorteX methods for all interaction with ISE system resources.
• CorteX Developer’s Community – CorteX is designed to support open, independent development of ISE management function via custom scripting or the storage management functionality inside operating systems, hypervisors, databases, and other applications.
